Oh my word!! Thank you sweet friends for the nomination. I’msuper excited and feel blessed. Most of my childhood was living in the metropolis of Abilene,Tx until my sophomore year of h.s. At that time the Air Force uprooted my family to Ramstein, Germany. It was the best experience a 17 yr. old could have.....European food, beer & the autobahn! Dance & cheerleading was my preferred “sport” in high school. After graduation I moved back to the states to attend college. Oh, how I pray that God would give me a godly man and He did just that. Jay and I have been married almost 15 yrs. and are the blessed parents of Cole (10), Luke (9), Audrey (5) & April (3). I never thought I would be a family of 6, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I remember the first time I was introduced to bootcamp in May of 2013. My friend, coach Kinney, coaxed me into doing the Memorial Day Murph Wod. Oh my goodness, I couldn’t walk straight for 3 days!!! Over the course of the next year I only came a handful of times. I’ll never forget, it was Spring Break of last year and my girlfriend and I went to get pedicures. I randomly get sat next to this petite woman sporting an orange aMazen bootcamp hat. It was Channel:D We got to chatting about my crazy busy life, but I couldn’t complain too much as she was going through rounds of chemo. I mentioned to her that I wasn’t sure bootcamp was in our budget (4 kids ain't cheap). I’ll never forget her words, “Janette, God didn’t provide this place for my benefit to make money. If you can’t pay don’t worry about it and just come. How can you take care of your family if you don’t take care of yourself first?” She was so right, I had dwindled my health so low that I had developed kidney stones, my faith was down, and I always felt stressed. I am so thankful that He placed me in that seat! I needed that pep talk…I feel stronger, eat healthier….well…o.k…. 75% of the time and am a happier wife, mom & teacher. It’s impossible to express what this place means to me. Who knew working out could be so spiritual? I’m honored to be a part of this family. Wickwar |
